Chuck Scott:
A 20-year veteran of the film and television industry,
Chuck Scott is familiar with all aspects of production.
From corporate videos to commercials, feature films and everything in between,
his early focus was camera and production management. As an independent producer
and director, he subsequently shot over 350 corporate films and a variety of documentaries.
Since July 1999 Chuck has been contracted to produce documentary series for Great North
Productions in Edmonton. His credits include:
- 13 half-hours of "Shiver!" for National Geographic Television
and Life Network
- two seasons of the half-hour series "The Things We Do For Love" for Life Network
- "The Journey Home", a half-hour series about tracing your roots, for History Television
- "The $100 Ride",
for National Geographic and the Life Network
- the pilot for "Feeding Frenzy" a co-pro with Opus Television in Wales
- "Surviving In The Wild", three one hours for
Discovery Health US and Canada
- currently in production -"The $100 Ride II", for National Geographic and Timeline
- 52 episodes of "A Day in the Country",
which aired on HGTV in Canada and the US
- a one-hour holiday special for Life Network
- the first 13 episodes of the series, "Home Additions"
- 53 half-hours of "The Hanes Report"
- the feature film "Amodeo: Bingo Martyr", A True Story
- the docu-comedy "Canada Eh!" won an American Film & Video Association Blue Ribbon
- "Something So Big: Teenagers and
Cancer", won Honourable Mention from the Houston WorldFest competition and was a finalist at the Yorkton
Short Film & Video Festival.
- "The Journey Home" won an AMPIA for best Documentary under
30 minutes in 2002
A graduate of Sheridan College, with additional study at York University,
Chuck has served on the Brampton Arts Council, The Art Gallery of Peel, and on various
committees for the Canadian Film and Television Producers Association. He is currently
a member of the Alberta Motion Picture Industries Association Board of Directors.
He has been a jury member for the Genie Awards, Iris Awards and for the Hot Docs Festival. |
